John Ridd of Somerset is twelve years old in 1673 when his father is killed by Carver Doone. John later meets and falls in love with Lorna Doone. She turns out to be the daughter of a rich Lord, and Carver Doone intends to marry her to get her inheritance. Can John save Lorna from her worst fears?
